The best of Swiss Alps in one weekend

on 7. & 8. July 2012Diavel_Alpentour_2012

This year the Speed Factory offers the first Speed Factory Alpine Tour. We have put together a route that combines the finest Alpine passes Switzerland has to offer. We rode this tour last year ourselves and this year we want to share this experience with our customers and friends. Spanning two days, this tour combines small and big passes to cover the full spectrum of alpine riding: narrow and wide sweeping curves, spectacular views and unforgettable impressions. From harmonious and well-paved routes such as the Grimsel to tight hairpins and partly unpaved (but well ridable with street bikes) such as the Umbrail. This tour offers everything expected by the alpine rider and in particular by the Ducatista.

The Tour:

We start from the Speed Factory on Saturday 7 July at 7:00 clock in morning towards Davos. Our first pass will be the Flüela. From there it goes on via Ofen, Umbrail, Livigno towards St. Moritz and the Bernina. We will end the first day with the Maloja and Splügen passes after which we stop for the night in Splügen at the Hotel Bodenhaus where we will also enjoy the traditional local food.

The next morning we target the high alpine passes. We begin with the San Bernardino, then via Bellinzona towards the old Gotthard Pass and from there on to Furka, Grimsel and Susten. From the Sustenpass we will return to Affoltern am Albis via Wassen and Altdorf, arriving Sunday afternoon.

Anyone who wants can also individually drive back to Zurich via the Klausen instead.

We will provide two experienced speed factory tour guides who have been riding this tour several times. The package price of 270 chf includes hotel accommodations and dinner.

As said, if you need a bike, we also have the newest models for rent

Have a look at the tour on google maps. The passes are indeed spectacular.
